Torre Diamante and viale Pirelli
The new towers on the edge of the Bicocca campus: high views, lifts, air conditioning. The right area for a business trip to Milan.

On the edge of the Bicocca campus, where the low 1960s blocks end and rebuilt Milan begins, stand a few recent residential towers. Torre Diamante is one of them: high floors, glass, lifts, and from the window the Po plain running all the way to the pre-Alps on a clear day.
It is not a picturesque area and does not pretend to be. It is an efficient one, which is exactly what you want when you come to Milan to work.
Why it works for business
Milan has moved much of its service sector north. The offices along viale Fulvio Testi, the Sesto San Giovanni district, the companies in and around the campus: from here they are ten or fifteen minutes away, while from a hotel in the centre they are forty at peak time.
For longer journeys the position holds too: Central Station is a quarter of an hour away, with high-speed trains to Rome, Turin, Bologna and Venice. For Rho Fiera, the M5 feeds into the M1 without crossing the centre.
An apartment instead of a hotel
For one night, the hotel wins. From three nights on, everything changes:
- A real kitchen. It is not about saving money; it is that by the third hotel breakfast you start wanting coffee made at home.
- A washing machine. On a week-long trip that is half a suitcase.
- A table to work at that is not the bed or a fifty-centimetre desk.
- Quiet. No corridor, no trolleys at seven in the morning.
Our apartments in Torre Diamante and viale Pirelli all have air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a washing machine, a dishwasher and an induction hob. Check-in is self-service: you arrive when you like, late included, without depending on a front desk.
What is around
The campus with its canteens and cafés, the Teatro degli Arcimboldi for the evening, Pirelli HangarBicocca with free admission, and the local shopping centre for everything else. Groceries are downstairs.
For business dinners the centre is twenty minutes by metro; for informal ones, the neighbourhood has a few good trattorias and several pizzerias.
Our apartments
Torre Diamante 67 and Torre Diamante 72 are on the twelfth floor, both one-bedroom flats with a terrace. Attico Bicocca is a penthouse with a roof terrace. All three suit one or two people, with a sofa bed for a third guest.
